The UH-1 “Iroquois� was originally designated the “HU-1,� which was where the famous “Huey� name derived from. Manufactured by Bell Helicopters, the UH-1 Iroquois has been widely used since its design inception in 1956, and throughout the Vietnam War, over 7,000 helicopters were produced & flown.
